Bruce M. King is senior vice president, Operations for Rockwell Collins. Additionally, he is a corporate officer. King is responsible for overall management of Rockwell Collins’ global production and material operations, including manufacturing, material, quality, facilities, and environmental, safety, and health activities. He was named to the position in May 2011.
Prior to that, he was vice president and general manager of Communication Products for Rockwell Collins, a position he was appointed to in September 2010.
Since joining the company in 1984, King has held various management positions of increasing responsibility, including director of C/KC-135 programs, GATM program manager and C/KC-135 Pacer CRAG program manager. He served as director of Air Mobility, Bombers and Special Mission Programs for Government Systems Integrated Applications, and vice president and general manager, Communications Systems. King served as vice president and general manager, Surface Solutions, where he was responsible for solutions for ground vehicle, soldier and maritime applications.
A native of Memphis, Tenn., King earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
King is a member of the Airlift Tanker Association, Association of the United States Army, Association of Old Crows, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), the Iowana Campfire/Camp Hitaga Board of Directors, and the Mount Mercy University Board of Trustees.
